Microsoft’s Canceled Lumia Flagship
Microsoft’s codename McLaren has been canceled, but only for the holidays. If you have no idea what I’m referring to, well Microsoft was originally planning to release a new flagship Windows phone in time for the holidays. The device would have been the first to use the company’s new Kinect like 3D Touch gestures. The Lumia phone with a huge camera bump had photos leaked this last weekend, however it was confirmed by The Verge that the leaked phone was a canceled prototype.

Today, photos have been published showing McLaren in different angles. According to The Verge, the aluminum device runs Windows Phone 8.1 with on-screen buttons, alongside 2GB of RAM and what appears to be a 5-inch 1080p display. In a photo showing the Windows and iPhone 6, you can see that the McLaren’s camera bump is clearly significant. Some have speculated that the camera bump isn’t a 50-megapixel shooter. The device was designed to look like a successor to the Lumia 1020, but that the camera was around 20 megapixels in reality and similar to the Lumia 930 and Lumia 1520, according to sources familiar with the plans.
