Leaked Sony Emails Reveal Jokes About President Obama And Kevin Hart
Well if getting hacked; having movies, social security, and emails aren’t enough for Sony Pictures, the company will be seeing red with the latest news. As the GOP, or the Guardians of Peace promise to aim its efforts to expose studio co-chairman Amy Pascal, and producer Scott Rudin, and the latest email exposes them. The group released some emails that can be taken out content, but very racial insensitive assumptions about President Obama’s personal taste. The GOP also released emails with negatives comments against Kevin Hart.
According to Buzzfeed, Pascal asked Rudin for advice before going to an Obama fundraiser. The fundraiser was hosted by DreamWorks Animation head Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Pascal asked particularly what she should ask the President “at this stupid Jeffrey breakfast.”
“Would he like to finance some movies,” responded Rudin.
“I doubt it. Should I ask him if he liked DJANGO?” said Pascal, with Rudin replying “12 YEARS.”
“Or the butler. Or think like a man?” continued Pascal. According to Variety, Pascal is a major donor for the Democratic party and President Obama.
Rubin went on to write “Ride-along. I bet he likes Kevin Hart.”
On Wednesday, Hart, who stars in the upcoming Sony comedy “The Wedding Ringer,” was called a “whore” by a different Sony executive Clint Culpepper in another email for demanding more money from the studio. Culpepper said exactly “I’m not saying he’s a whore, but he’s a whore,” for asking more money on top of his $3 million payment for tweeting about his new comedy.
He wrote to Pascal “If he doesn’t do his normal routine, his film will not open as well and his brand will appear diminished and he will- in fact – be f—ing himself because we have his next 2 immediate films.”
If Sony executives didn’t offended Obama with assuming that he only like African American films, well they just offended Kevin Hart, who still has two more films lined up with the company. Maybe the price for Hart’s tweets just went up after being called a whore by Sony executive. At this point, where does this leave Sony Pictures after embarrassing email and not protecting value information and even its own movies. Looks like the Guardians of Peace are doing everything that the promise Sony Pictures.
