(Photos) Sports: Chad Johnson Leaves Waitress Massive Tip, Indirectly Prevents Suicide Of Stranger
This story is crazy because it just goes to show you that you NEVER KNOW what one simple act of kindness can mean to the next person.
Over the weekend, Chad Johnson went out to eat and left the waitress who helped him a huge $300 tip on a $351 bill. He didn’t do it for any special reason other than to make her day with a message saying “Sundays are slow, this should help”. He even signed it “I Love You”, which I am sure made the waitress feel amazing for the day.
Unbeknownst to Johnson, that simple act of kindness saved the life of a complete stranger, as a woman who lived far away was literally planning on killing herself that same day until she saw Johnson’s message to that waitress and it touched her heart.
She sent Johnson a DM on Instagram basically saying she had bought everything she needed to end her life, but that simple act of kindness gave her hope that happiness can always be right around the corner and you won’t even know it.
This is truly a touching story and I am happy the woman who wanted to end her life can feel some happiness because of this.
Be kind to others people, it is so easy to be cold hearted and mean, but it actually takes effort to make someone’s day and we all should strive to do that more often.
