Odell Beckjam Jr was just announced as the winner of the contest to grace the cover of “Madden 2016″

He now becomes the youngest player in NFL history to be on the cover after narrowly defeating Patriots tight end, Rob Gronkowski in the voting.

OBJ finished with 52.5% of the vote so it was definitely close all the way to the end when the announcement was made on SportsCenter.

Beckham missed the first four games of his rookie season with a hamstring injury in 2014, but he recovered to catch 91 passes for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns over the Giants’ final 12 games – a performance that earned him the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

At 22, he would be the youngest player ever featured on the Madden cover. Vince Young was 24 when he was on the cover of Madden 08, which was released in August 2007.

Congrats to Odell. Check the gallery!
