(Video) NBA: Play Being Called Dead Doesn’t Stop LeBron From Draining A Half-Court Shot!

Yesterday, the Cleveland Cavaliers traveled to Milwaukee to play a crucial game against the Bucks, because a win would bring them one step closer to the Eastern Conference’s best, the Atlanta Hawks. With less than eight minutes remaining in the game, Cleveland’s very own, LeBron James, dribbled the ball up court in hopes of expanding his team’s five point lead (81-76.) However, the referee blew his whistle and the play was called dead, due to an off-the-ball foul committed by Milwaukee’s Michael Carter-Williams. Rather than just handing the basketball to the referee who was standing nearby, LeBron decided to take a practice shot from where he was standing (which was near half-court.) Guess what happened next?

If you were thinking to yourself, he probably ended up draining the shot you’d be on the money. Just another ridiculous clip to add to James’ career highlight reel. Even though, the basket didn’t count, it was miraculous that he was able to hit such a long-distance shot, without having either a running start or jumping. Then again, nothing should surprise basketball fans, when it comes to the ‘ol mighty King James.
